Mumbai, Add Drama To Your Life This Weekend As Some Amazing Plays are Lined Up Just For You!

Theatre is a way of life in Mumbai, and there's none like Mumbaikars, who know how to embrace this form of performing arts. Comedy, Drama, Thriller, Satire or Musical, each genre has an audience of its own. Every week, the city witnesses a spectrum of emotions through these plays. This week as well, there's some amazing plays happening in Mumbai. We hand-picked four of them, that should definitely be in your list of Must-Watch this week!

1. Jaanch Padtaal A Hindi satire, Jaanch Padtaal is a play based on themes of corruption and inequality prevalent in our society today. The story revolves around a low rank civil servant who is mistaken as a Govt. Inspector by the members of a small provincial town. Then starts the attempts to hide from him the extent of corruption in the system. It's a comedy play, staging at Sathaye Auditorium on June 30th , Friday!

2. Can I Help You? Happening at St. Andrew Auditorium this Saturday, Can I Help You is an NCPA presentation. It's an English comedy play about an LIC agent who is desperate to sell his ancestral home in Darjeeling, but fails to get a buyer as this place is located near a suicide point. What happens when he finds a prospective buyer to buy this suicide point again becomes his biggest problem to crack the deal. To know, book your tickets here!

3. The Primetime Theatre Co's Wedding Album Written by Girish Karnad and directed by Lillete Dubey, Wedding Album is an English Comedy Drama that explores the traditional Indian wedding in a picture-perfect-middle-class family, in a globalized and technologically advanced India. The play will be happening at Prithvi theatre on Saturday evening.

4. Ladies Special A Gujarati drama, Ladies Special starring Sarita Joshi, is a play based on a true incidents during the war between India and Pakistan in 1971. Set up in a small village in Gujarat called Madhapur, the story is about how women of this area made an air strip out of cow dung and mud for the Indian army to win the battle. A very popular play, Ladies Special is scheduled to be staged at Bhaidas Auditorium on Sunday, 2nd July.
