Mumbai Indians is the best placed side to clinch the trophy and the team to beat in IPL 2017. Though last year in 2016, the team failed to make it to the playoffs and were seen struggling with their game. But on realising the shortcomings, the team released eight players, yet had 20 left in their squad which are more effective and bigger names compared to other sides, keeping the core team intact. With new players in the squad, the team looks quite balanced and dangerous at the same time, especially with their domestic players' strength. Australian Pacer Mitchell Johnson coming into the team makes the bowling lineup strong as ever and even though Lasith Malinga is injured, Jasprit Bumrah’s recent performances have shown his true power and potential.

The spin bowling attack is led by the experienced hands of the turbanator, Harbhajan Singh. The other good spinners in the side are Karn Sharma and K Gowtham. Meanwhile, names like Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Ambati Rayudu, Jos Buttler and Saurabh Tiwary prove the weight Mumbai’s batting line up has got. The biggest challenge for the management, captain and the coach will be to choose the perfect eleven for each match and at the same time not make too many changes to upset the balance players have with each other.

This side has always been in the news and is among the best contenders to claim the championship title. Former Sri Lankan star player Mahela Jayawardene is the coach of the team and is going to help them in overcoming all the shortcomings and obstacles during the course of the league. From the struggle in the initial seasons to winning the first title in 2013, followed by the clinching of the trophy in 2015, the team has come a long way with the most wins in the tournament so far with a count of 80. This Mumbai side has always looked to play fair and fast and this spirit has come from their former star player and captain, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, and it shows in their history of wins.

This will surely be a thing to see now if this team would be able to pull off some good matches in spite of all the tough competition. IPL 10 is going to start next week and every cricket fan in the world is waiting for the biggest cricket bonanza. So, stay updated and don’t forget to buy tickets and cheer the team in this biggest cricketing clash this season.
