Arjun Rampal has been absent from the big screen for quite some time now and his comeback with the movie ‘Daddy’ is much anticipated. This is Arjun Rampal’s first biopic and he is playing the infamous Arun Gawli in this upcoming Hindi crime-political drama. Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, the story is penned down by Arjun and the director himself. The makers have made efforts to stay true to the various aspects of Gawli’s life, even his religious values and beliefs.
Keeping the same sentiments in mind, the film’s soundtrack includes a Ganpati song in the film tilted ‘Aala Re Aala Ganesha.’ Composed by Sajid Wajid and sung by Wajid and Dr.Ganesh Chandanshive the track is one of the major highlights of the film and was released just a day back. Well it’s a common notion, every year near the Ganpati Celebrations we get a Ganpati song and it has proven healthy for the movie’s promotions. The Ganesh festival signifies an important place in Gawli’s life and is quite visible in the video.
Despite being someone who loved the celebration of all Hindu or Muslim festivals, Arun Gawli was apparently very close to Lord Ganesha. In fact, the entire Dagdi Chawl area where he lived was lit up and heavily decorated during the 10-day celebration of the festival. Also to retain the authenticity and make it as real as possible, the makers have roped in the same band (Ajinkya Band) for Ganpati song who had played in Arun Gawli’s son’s wedding. Various small details like this have helped ‘Aala Re Aala Ganesha’look really authentic and real.
The movie is all set to release next month on September 01, just one week prior to Ajay Devgn’s Baadshaho and well, we can’t wait enough for it to hit theatres.
