Picture clowns, stilt walkers, fire dancers, musicians and DJs will all come together for a carnival of sorts this December as Pune gets ready to host its very first Sunburn Festival. Pune city has fast become the top destination for the biggest and the most happening music festivals of the country. After the NH7 Weekender and VH1 Supersonic, Sunburn too has shifted its venue from Goa after decades and will now be held at Kesnand Hills — a privately-owned 90-acre land at on the Pune-Ahmednagar Highway.

Although this news was received with flak and interest alike, the outrage bit seems to have settled over the last few days to be replaced with the excitement and enthusiasm that Sunburn generally manages to garner. In its 10th year, this festival which will be held over a period of three days (from December 28 to 31, 2016) not only will be home to the popular national artists but also the international headliners in music like Armin Van Buuren, Axwell Ingrosso, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.

Along with the upbeat feels of an all new location, there is a lot more in store that the fans have to look forward to. Not only will a helicopter ride help the visitors catch a breath-taking view of the fest, but a number of Ferris Wheels have also been arranged for fans to witness festival, 360 degrees around! Bungee Jumping, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Kite Flying, Open Library, Sunset Point, Tattoo Making, T-Shirt Printing, Art Village, Tarot Reading, Zumba, Yoga Stilt Walkers, Go Pros, Spider Cam, Para Copter, Fire Acts and Jugglers will only just add to the carnival-like feel that’s worth the long wait.

Often touted to be one of the biggest events in Goa, over the last nine years, we’ve seen Sunburn evolve from being just another music festival to an aspirational brand with millions of loyalists. The organizers say that their inter-state move this year is a part of their evolution and they plan to stick to it for a long time. In their 10th edition, in spite of the venue shift, the organizers promise a larger than life experience, the kinds that every Sunburn fan expects from a fest so grand. Along with all of the above, the flea market, the camping like stay and the after parties are also some of the things to look forward too.
