Shah Rukh Khan fans have good news! King Khan's fans can now watch his movies whenever and wherever they are. How? The World's leading Internet TV network, Netflix has inked an exclusive deal with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment for the next three years to bring his films to the streaming service. Bollywood's most sought after actor will now be available to more than 86 million viewers globally. Global fans will have access to his past as well as upcoming films exclusively on Netflix. This deal comes at a time when just yesterday, Amazon launched its video service globally and announced a robust sale of Indian original series. Netflix bringing SRK on board will definitely heat up the battle between the two giants.

As part of this deal, Netflix will exclusively stream all new and old movies starring Shah Rukh Khan worldwide. The subscribers will have access to “dozens” of Khan’s library films as well as his new films coming to Indian theaters over the next three years. And the first title available to stream is his latest Bollywood movie,Dear Zindagi followed by Red Chillies Entertainment flicks like Happy New Year, Dilwale, Om Shanti Om, My Name is Khan, Ra.One and Chennai Express.

While this is Netflix's first deal with a production company in India, Amazon has signed such deals with Vishesh Films, Dharma Productions, Yash Raj Films and Excel entertainment. With these deals, both Amazon and Netflix have entered the Indian market. While Netflix has been around for about a year now, Amazon Prime Video was launched in India this month itself.

This is the second major deal of the Internet giant after its first original series in the country based on novelist Vikram Chandra’s Sacred Games. The series dwells on small-time hustling to armed gang wars, of good men going to seed and the upward mobility of the baddies. For this project, Netflix has partnered with Anurag Kashyap's Phantom Films to produce the series. Other popular shows on the platform in India include The Crown, which chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II, Stranger Things, and Narcos among others.
