Poster Boys Review: Shreyas Marks His First Directorial Debut With Deol Brothers!

This can be termed as the year of unconventional movies in India. 2017 has seen ample Hindi movies which were not the stereotypical rom-com, but were made on issues which required social attention in a country like ours. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha which asked people to build toilets in their homes, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which talks about erectile dysfunction and here comes an addition in the list - Poster boys. This Shreyas Talpade directorial Hindi movie talks about the much needed male vasectomy and its effectiveness

The much talked about Hindi movie ‘Poster Boys’ stars Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas himself and is a remake of a 2014 Marathi movie ‘Poshter Boys’. Based on a true story, the movie is about these three men, who accidentally become the face of a Nasbandi (vasectomy) poster due to government's carelessness and get judged and receive hatred from their entire village. The story is set in a Jangheti village where these men are pretty engrossed in their personal lives and after the poster is out, how miserable their lives become.

The two-hour long comedy film is extremely high on humor and sees some great performances from the cast. Sunny Deol, who is returning to the big screen after Ghayal: Once Again shines as bright as a summer sun. Bobby Deol is also making his comeback after four long years and Shreyas Talpade's acting and direction, both are worth noting. The film not only focuses on the serious yet comical plot but also has some hilarious references to the past movies of the Deol brothers like Soldier, Damini and Border which makes it a great movie to watch this weekend!
