A three month long carnival in the Rann of Kutch, the heart of Gujarat, has started! Popularly known as the Rann Utsav, it's a festival celebrating the rich culture and traditions of Kutch and Gujarat. The whole vibe of the festival is enough to fill anyone with raw energy and sheer enthusiasm. From adventurer enthusiasts to shopaholics, the festival has covered all. The event is annually organized by the Government of Gujarat in the winter months. Having started from Nov 1, the Utsav will continue to enthrall tourists from across the globe till 20th of Feb.
For those who have already planned to spend time in the Rann of Kutch and for those who haven't yet booked their tickets to Rann Utsav, here's what you can expect from this grand cultural festival, held at the edge of White Rann in Gujarat.
1. Gujarat In Its Full Glory
This event in Kutch showcases Gujarat in the most enchanting and beautiful way! The Rann Utsav provides an arena to the arts and crafts of Gujarat to be displayed and purchased. You can also have a glimpse of local artisans practising traditional Indian arts like Rabari embroidery, Rogan art and the distinctive mirror work that Kutch is known for. The authentic Gujarati cuisine served in the tent city will surely leave your taste buds craving for more!

The region of Kutch has some beautiful sight seeing spots and at the Rann Utsav you can book yourself a guided tour to the nearby spots. The tent city at the village Dhordo is where the action takes place. It has more than 350 tents across 9 clusters and hosts a handicraft bazaar, a spa, meditation and yoga centre, live music concerts and folk dance shows. In the evening, the cultural performances will enthrall you.
