One of the biggest heavy metal music festivals, Sonic Stone Festival, organised by White Heights and Unseen Underground comes to Chennai this weekend for its fourth edition. The festival is an initiative to promote contemporary bands and independent musicians in the genre of heavy metal in India. Over the years, Sonic Stone Fest has been serving as a pioneer in elevating and popularising the genre in India. Along with giving a platform to budding artists, it has also showcased many Internationally acclaimed bands and musicians of multiple genres like Kryptos, Undying Inc. and Resurrection as headlining acts.

This edition of the fest is all the more special as one of the biggest and most popular Heavy metal artists, Jeff Loomis, is coming to Chennai to send the audiences into a frenzy. Loomis is one of the pioneering progressive metal guitarists, who has been revolutionizing the scene with his complex pattern and guitar scales. This legendary American guitarist took the world by storm with his songs like Miles of Machines, Sentient 6 and Mercurial. He is best known as the lead guitarist in the progressive metal band, Nevermore. In 2014, he joined as a lead guitarist for Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy.

Jeff's music concert in Sonic Stone Festival will be supported by some of the India’s most revolutionary Progressive metal bands like Eccentric Pendulum from Bengaluru, Kraven Experience and Spine Shatter from Chennai.
