IPL 2018 is to start next year but it has started gathering news from all around. After the inclusion of two left out teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals back in the league, the teams have started retaining their old players and forming their best squads. In order to come up with their best performance in the coming season of IPL (Indian Premier League), team KXIP has appointed Australian all-rounder Brad Hodge as their new coach. Although his post will be of a head coach, still he will report to Virender Sehwag, who is the overall in-charge of the punjab franchise.
With the new assignment in his hand, Hodge moves from Rajkot to Mohali and will be handling the affairs of KXIP (Kings XI Punjab). He was previously the coach of Gujarat Lions, whose two-year stint ended with the IPL 10. The former Australia all-rounder had a reasonably successful association with Gujarat Lions, having guided the side to the final in 2016. His appointment was confirmed to the leading local newspaper Mumbai Mirror yesterday and he will be heading the support staff that includes Mithun Minhas and J Arun Kumar of the team. Kings XI Punjab is jointly owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Wadia Group’s Ness Wadia, Dabur’s Mohit Burman and Karan Paul.
