After good two years of some stellar performances by team India, the team has finally had a series loss after 9 wins. Du Plessis-led South Africa has finally beat India by 135 runs in the second Test to seal the three-match Test series 2-0 at Centurion on Wednesday. They have also defeated the visitors in the first test by 72 runs and this one was more poor than before. The result meant the Proteas gained a measure of revenge for the series defeat they suffered on some poorly prepared tracks on the sub-continent in 2015 when they had come to India.
The batsman failed to put up a show in front of their bowling attack and their new player Ngidi managed to thrash the batting order. Even though our bowling clicked but still that wasn’t enough to overthrow the proteans off the match. Ngidi was delighted to win the man-of-the-match award in his debut and that too in front of his home crowd.

“We failed to get a good partnership and take lead. We have let ourselves down. The bowlers have done the job but the batsmen have let the team down. We tried but we weren’t good enough, especially in the fielding department. That’s why they (South Africa) are the winner. Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
South African skipper Faf Du Plessis said- “We were short in the first innings. We needed to get 400 but for me the vital time was the second innings. We kept pushing and we knew anything over 250 would be challenging. It was special performance by Ngidi. He’s a great guy and we welcome him into the team. I look at the person’s personality and he’s a wonderful human being.
