England tour of India 2016
Written by Archit Chawla

Team India has successfully drubbed the English team after winning the fourth test match in Wankhede stadium on this Monday. With this huge win, India has taken an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the ongoing test series and looks to be in a great form. The team outplayed them in all the three departments of the game, thanks to the brilliant knock of skipper Virat Kohli, the spin maestro Ravichandran Ashwin and the incredible duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav. The victory has showcased the extent of success India have had in tests this year under the great captaincy of Virat Kohli. The series so far has witnessed a number of records which were made and broken with the onset of the fourth test.

Have a look at few-

indian team for england tour 2016
· Team India’s win by an innings and 36 runs at Mumbai is their biggest over Team England in Tests at home.

· For the third time ever, a team has lost by an innings after making 400 or more in the first innings of a Test match.
· Kohli created and broke many records during his knock of 235. His 15th Test century was achieved in 89 Test innings, which is the joint second least number of innings for any Indian batsman to score 15 Test hundreds.

· For the second time, India has won three Tests in a row vs England — Visakhapatnam, Mohali, and Mumbai. The first time was under Mohammad Azharuddin’s captaincy in 1992-93 –Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai.

· R Ashwin’s bowling figures of 12/167 are the best by a spinner in a Test match at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

· Ravindra Jadeja has played 16 Tests in India without losing a single match — 13 wins and 3 drawn games.

Everyone has contributed to the success and it shows the character of the team as well as the skipper Kohli. The ferocious team India is all geared up to take on the England team in the final and fifth test match and would look to pile more misery on Alastair Cook. The team looks exceptional in terms of intensity and situational awareness with the blasting lead of 3-0. It is upto the english boys now, whether they want to go home whitewashed or they will be spared the mercy by Team India in the remaining match at Chennai. The ride has been exceptional since the start of this series and you can be a part of it too while it still lasts.
