Rajasthan Royals will make a comeback this season owing to a two-year ban in the year 2013. Prior to their suspension, they faced success in the form of a title win in 2008 and finished as the runner up team in 2013.

The inaugural champions have reunited with Shane Warne to mentor the players in their journey to regain the title.

The captain of the team was announced by mentor Shane Warne. Rajasthan Royals will be led by the current Australian captain, Steve Smith. Smith is being considered to be a big asset for Rajasthan Royals.

The England all-rounder Ben Strokes and Indian player Jaydev Unadkat ended up being two of the most costly players at the IPL 2018 auction for RR.

Under the leadership of Steve Smith along with the likes of Ben Stokes, Staurt Binny, Joss Buttler, Sanju Samson, Jaydev Unadkat and Ajinkya Rahane amongst others, the team definitely looks strong on the paper.

Staurt Binny is optimistic about the team’s win this season. He is of the strong belief that a winning start is crucial to get the team’s confidence going. He was quoted saying:

“Yes, I believe we have a very good chance of regaining the IPL trophy this year. The current mix of players which includes Rajasthan Royals veterans — Rahane and Samson along with international superstars like (Ben) Stokes, (Jos) Buttler and (Jaydev) Unadkat certainly promise to be a match-winning combination.”

Rajasthan Royals released this year’s team anthem ‘Phir Halla Bol’ on Sunday. The anthem has been sung by popular Rajasthani folk singer Ila Arun.

Fans of Rajasthan Royals don’t have to wait much longer to witness the team back in action. Rajasthan Royals will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9 2018.
