IPL 2018: Are You Ready for This RCB vs CSK Match?

Written by Heenal Shah

One of the most-anticipated matches of IPL 2018 has arrived. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings will reignite their intense sporting rivalry at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on April 25 2018.

Chennai Super Kings has returned to the tournament after a two-year suspension. The team seems to have returned with a bang in the 11th  edition of IPL this year. CSK has won four of the five games they have played. Meanwhile, RCB has only won two out of the five games they have played. Today’s match will not only be a leadership battle between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli but also a battle between both the teams.

MS Dhoni

The Chennai Super Kings are currently standing second on the table. However, if they defeat RCB today, they will move to the top of the table. Since the two teams last met prior to CSK’s ban, there has also been a shift of members from one camp to another. Shane Watson who played with RCB last year was signed by CSK in 2018 and has been playing thoroughly well this year.

Virat Kohli

All the four wins of CSK have been a team effort. In each of the matches there has been one player who has played extremely well. Be it Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur or Shane Watson on the balling side or their impressive batting line-up comprising Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Sam Billings, Dwayne Bravo and Dhoni, a game-changing player has always been around to save the day for CSK.

A good news for the hosts RCB awaits in the form of AB de Villiers. He almost single-handedly chased a target of 175 runs with still having two overs to spare, bringing RCB back on track against Delhi Daredevils. The extremely powerful pair of Kohli and de Villiers has scored 2,361 runs in the IPL and they could definitely be a threat to CSK.
