T20 League Mumbai: Supersonics Defeat Blasters To Score Their Second Win

Last evening, SoBo Supersonics defeated NaMo Bandra Blasters by 50 runs to score their second win in three matches. For Bandra Blasters, this is their first loss in three matches and now both SoBo Supersonics and NaMo Bandra Blasters are sitting atop with two wins.

The Supersonics scored a total of 149 for 6 in 20 overs (Akarshit Gomel 31, Prasad Pawar 83; Azhar Ansari 3-21) while the blasters could only score a total of 99 in 18 overs (Shreyas Iyer 25, Aishwary Surve 21 not out; Rohan Raje 3-24; Abhishek Nayar 3-17; Jay Bista 2-13). NaMo Bandra Blasters will now play against Mumbai North East Triumph Knights and North Mumbai Panthers on 16th and 18th March, respectively. While SoBo Supersonics will play against ARCS Andheri and Shivaji Park Lions on 17th and 18th March.

The first ever edition of T20 Mumbai League began from March 11 2018. Six teams will battle it out for 11 days to win the title at the iconic Wankhede stadium. The teams include SoBo Supersonics, Mumbai North East Triumph Knights, Shivaji Park Lions, NaMo Bandra Blasters, ARCS Andheri and North Mumbai Panthers. The first and the second qualifier would be held on 19th and 20th March respectively. The finals would be held on March 21 2018.
