After 22 days of breathtaking action, it is time to announce the winners of Premier Badminton League 2018 and it’s Hyderabad Hunters. India’s local boy Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have progressed a lot when one sees his performances in the last edition of Badminton Premier League as he and Indonesia’s Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth put up a dominant display in the last match of the clash, the Mixed Doubles, to clinch the title and the winners’ prize for the Hyderabad Hunters. Cheered on by a packed house and a all pumped up team, they beat Kim Sa Rang (Korea) and N Sikki Reddy (India) in straight sets 15-11, 15-12. The tall Satwiksairaj unleashed an array of powerful smashes to set up a well-deserved victory for the home side and enable the Hunters to win their maiden title in PBL 2017-18.

The Blasters were 2-1 (3-2) on points at the midway stage talking about the final battle with the Bengaluru’s fierce side. But former World No. 1 Marin promptly took the initiative for the Hunters, and gave them the women’s singles match against Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour 15-8, 15-14. Marin played a smart and controlled game and got her match back from a major scare when Kirsty had fought back from 4-8 down to make it 11-9 at one stage fearlessly. Here is the glimpse at the coach Fernando.
