2017 is already shaping up to be a great sporting year for Indian Sports fans! Just a few days ago, Indian Premier League is completed and after that Champions trophy started in England, keeping the Indian Cricket fans busy for the whole month. This is just the beginning! The year has a lot more to offer. Some major sporting events and tournaments are lined up in the rest of the year that will keep all sports fans on the edge of their seats.

Here we give you a comprehensive list of all the major sporting events that await you in the coming months of 2017.

1.Pro Kabaddi League
The fifth season of the Pro Kabaddi League is all set to commence from 28th of July. The auctions have already taken place and this year it’s going to be bigger and better. This season will feature 12 teams instead of 8. The league will have over 130 matches, spread across 11 states and a time period of 13 weeks. With the addition of four new teams in the league, PKL has become India’s biggest Sporting league now!

2. Indian Super League
India’s biggest Football league, Indian Super League will be starting from October and keep the football fans across the country engrossed till mid-December. ISL is also set to expand this year as organizers invite bids for more franchise teams. The current eight teams that participate in ISL are Atletico de Kolkata, Chennaiyin FC, Delhi Dynamos FC, FC Goa, FC Pune City, Kerala Blasters FC, NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC.

3. FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017
For the first time ever, India will host such a big International Football Event! The FIFA U-17 World Cup comes to India this year and the tournament will be held in six venues across the country during October. The official emblem of the championship had already been unveiled last year in May. The emblem is a beautiful culmination of the global look of the game with a quintessentially Indian feel. The tournament represents a “Brand new chapter in Indian Football history”, as the India U-17 team sets to compete in its first major championship! This is definitely the biggest sports event in India this year.

With a large number of sporting leagues emerging and some major International Sports events coming to India, 2017 is going to be an exciting year for Sports fanatics here!
