The finalists of the last season are not having the best of season 4 so far! Having played 9 matches so far, U Mumba currently occupies the fifth position on the points table of the Pro Kabaddi League 2016. Before the start of this season, U Mumba was comprehended as the most consistent team in the Pro Kabaddi League considering that they have played the finals in all the three seasons of PKL and have also won the title in the second edition. Not just that, their record in the playoffs had also been admirable throughout the 3 seasons. But, as far as PKL season 4 is concerned U Mumba are far from hitting the peak. Now, the men in Orange will look forward to the four matches that they will be playing at their home ground, as the Kabaddi caravan is moving to their home turf from 20 th of July. This could well turn out to be a good thing for the team, given the fact that they play their home leg of the tournament right at the end when cash-in on every point would be crucial.

U Mumba has got one of the most talismanic captains of PKL, Anup Kumar. He doesn’t need an introduction as he is the biggest name in the universe of kabaddi. Anup Kumar has shown us many times in this season why he is rated so highly and regarded as a cut above the rest. U Mumba’s last match against Bengaluru Bulls saw him in the form of his life. He chipped at the right moment when his team needed him the most. Not just that, he proved to be a brilliant captain as he kept motivating his team throughout the game. His performance in the last match against Bengaluru Bulls summarised him as a player, person and a Kabaddi think tank. For his exceptional leadership qualities, experts compare him with the Indian Cricket team captain MS Dhoni. He is to U Mumba what MS Dhoni is to the Indian Cricket team.

Though the men in Orange are down at the moment. But they still have the chance to make it to final four of the league. They will play their last four league matches on their home turf. When it comes to teamwork and hard work, U Mumba is second to none. It’s just a matter of time for them to score points and move up the points table of the Pro Kabaddi League 2016.
