Tapsee Pannu & Rishi Kapoor To Be Seen Together in an Upcoming film, Titled Mulk!

Rishi Kapoor has been roped in by Abhinav Sinha for his next film called Mulk. He will be seen playing Prateik Babbar's father. Prateik apparently will be seen playing Taapsee Pannu's brother-in-law in the film. Mulk is based on true events and revolves around a joint family, that hails from a small town and is being wrongly embroiled in a controversy, related to terrorism. The film is about their fight for justice and how they reclaim their lost honour. The subject of terrorism and Islamophobia forms an important part in the film. Rajat Kapoor also features in the film, which will go on floors in October. The film will mostly be shot in Varanasi and Lucknow and is slated to release early next year.

It has been an amazing year for Taapsee Pannu. After creating an impact with her superb performance in Pink last year, she delivered a power packed performance in Naam Shabana, where she reprised her role from Baby. She will soon be seen in David Dhawan's Judwaa 2 alongside Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. She is currently shooting for the film in London. And after she completes her shoot for Judwaa 2, she will start preparing for this social thriller of Anubhav Sinha, Mulk. Interestingly, Taapsee had worked with Rishi Kapoor before in her debut movie Chasme Baddoor. Now they are coming together for a movie after 4 years.

Rishi Kapoor is also currently busy shooting for his next film, titled 102 Not Out, where he will be seen playing Amitabh Bachchan's father. Directed by Umesh Shukla, the movie is based on writer-director Saumya Joshi's successful Gujarati play by the same name. Both the actors will play Gujarati characters for the first time in their careers. It would be quite interesting to watch both the actors together after Amar Akbar Anthony, almost 40 years ago. 102 Not Out is slated to release in December this year.

Anubhav Sinha's earlier thrillers like Dus, Cash and Ra.One turned out to be hits at the box office. Now with Mulk, a social thriller, based on true events, he is all set to impress the audience once again with his style of film making. The film is scheduled to release early next year!
