Team India Continues To Dominate Over The Sri Lankan Team In Current ODI Series!

It is not something you can’t get over, but the thrill of winning in some other nations is pure ecstatic. Team India has been in great form over the few months and this is just not stopping anytime soon. Our Men In Blue have thrashed the Lankan tigers in yesterday’s 4th ODI match and continue to dominate over the five match series with the hosts. India now lead the five-match series 4-0 and look set to complete another whitewash after blanking Sri Lanka in the preceding three Tests.

Yesterday’s match witnessed two blasting centuries from the from batsman of Indian side- Rohit Sharma (104 of 88 balls) and Virat Kohli ( 131 of 96 balls). There was a point in the match where team India was looking pretty strong and could have pulled a score above 400. But as soon as the wickets started falling, the side rested on the shoulders of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Manish Pandey who managed to get a partnership of 102 runs in 12.2 overs.

Sri Lanka never looked like getting close to India's imposing total of 375 and could only manage to get 207 on board in mere 42.4 over. With Angelo Mathews' 70-run knock being the sole noteworthy batting performance the team failed to perform better than their previous matches and was easily defeated by the Indian side who have shown tremendous form in the current Sri Lankan tour. The heavy defeat was also Sri Lanka's biggest at home in terms of runs.

The match was played at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo and witnessed a lot of broken records. Mahendra Singh Dhoni played his 300th ODI where as Malinga bowled Virat Kohli as his 300th ODI wicket. Things are going from bad to worse for Sri Lanka, who needed to win at least two matches in the ongoing series to seal automatic qualification for the 2019 World Cup.

Let’s see if the Lankan team pull of the final ODI Match against the strong Indian side and emerge victorious and save its prestige. For Team India, it will be all about prepping up for the upcoming Australia tour to India this month and battling for the best with the best.
