Twitteratis were up for a sweet surprise yesterday! It all started with Salman Khan's tweet that the excitement was created around 6.30 in the evening. He tweeted “I'm going to tweet at 7pm today, Ek Baar jo maine commitment kar di... too much fun!”. We all wondered what it was all about. Then at 7.00, Bhai surprised us all when he shared the first look of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's untitled upcoming film. And even decided the release date as well i.e., 11 th August. He tweeted in his own unique style, “@iamsrk ki film aa Rahi hai. Date Maine decide kar di hai. Title tum log decide kardo. Best of luck @AnushkaSharma #ImtiazAli @imsrk"
Looks like a lot of camaraderie is going on between Shah Rukh and Salman. It has not been even 24 hrs since SRK partied at Sallu Bhai's place till late, and now we have Salman Khan gifting all SRK fans the first look of his yet untitled film with Imtiaz Ali. That was quite a sweet surprise. With this film, SRK will be reuniting with Anushka for the third time after their successful outings like Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Ever since its inception, the film, whose working title is “The Ring”, has struck the right cord with fans. It marks Shah Rukh's first collaboration with Imtiaz Ali. If the grapevine is to be believed, just like all Imtiaz's films, this film will also involve travelling. Set in Portugal (as clearly evidenced in the first look), Shah Rukh is rumoured to play a tour guide in this film. The film is also touted to be Ali's different take on love and will not have his usual love in all its glory and pain.
Now, if 11 th August 2017 is the date of release of this film, it will most probably be clashing with Akshay Kumar Crack at the box office. A few months back, right before the release of Rustom, Neeraj Pandey released the poster of Crack and unveiled the release date, Independence Day 2017. Interestingly, SRK's Raees is also clashing with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil next January.
Shah Rukh Khan, who is basking in the success of Dear Zindagi, is all geared up for 2017. His Raees and then Imtiaz Ali's untitled film have already become two much-awaited films of 2017.
