Hamlet – The Clown Prince is a Mélange of Laughter and Emotions in a Hilarious Adaptation of Shakespeare’s Masterpiece

Written by Prajakta Nagore

It doesn’t get better than when a group of talented individuals get together and form what can best be called a wonderfully haphazard performance that will leave you in splits of laughter. Not often will you have seen such confusion with hilarious results of a play so wildly world-famous, twisted to its own wonderfully weird version. An adaption of the famous Shakespearean Hamlet like never before will unfold at St. Andrews Auditorium in Bandra, Mumbai on the 29th November 2019.

Watch the likes of Vinay Pathak, Neil Bhoopalam, Puja Sarup, Namit Das, Mallika Singh and the writer and director Rajat Kapoor mismatch important sequences, omit relevant scenes and completely misinterpret the texts like a bunch of clowns pretending to have had their acts messed up while hiding their complete incompetency – deliberate of course! The result is as you would expect – a confusion of sorts with stomach-holding laughter results which will keep you entertained throughout the play for its short duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
