Bandish 20 – 20000Hz is a story of two singers. It comprises of one nautanki singer and one baithak (classical) singer. Both performers re-live their glory days and have witty anecdotes to share. Anecdotes of escapes from kings’ palaces, slapping British officers, getting kidnapped by the local zamindars, refuting lovelorn nawabs and getting duped by charming and conniving men in the name of love and marriage. The team has constantly worked to re-kindle your romance with theatre providing food for thought on vivid subjects. This time, they have tried to bring out an obvious facet of life called ‘Religious Choice’ through satire, wherein the writer, through the various characters, and with use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule has tried to expose and criticize the vices prevailing in our contemporary world.

Leela’s Lila
This dramatization, based on Leela Naidu’s autobiography co-authored by Jerry Pinto, unravels some of the mysteries and shares some of the tragedy. The blurred lines of fact and fiction, of fantasy and reality and the elusive and erratic vagaries of fame and fortune only add to her allure. It is based on various true incidents but still it’s a very different, poignant, yet humorous theatre experience. There are excerpts from the film Lila by Bidisha Roy and Priyanjana Dutta as well as from some of Leela Naidus best known films such as Anuradha and The Householder.
