And, we finally got the glimpse of Tom Cruise's reboot of “The Mummy”. Full of Tom Cruise action moments and one hell of a scary Mummy in the form of Sofia Boutella, The Mummy trailer surprises and entertain us without giving away too much. One of Universal Studios' most popular horror franchises, The Mummy is an adventure film, with all of the elements you would have expected.

As the “The Mummy” is getting a giant reboot next Summer, here's all you need to know about this upcoming Hollywood movie before it gets ready to be unveiled on the big screen in June next year!

1. The Star
The Mission Impossible Star, Tom Cruise plays Tyler Clot, an ex-Navy SEAL in the film. Russell Crowe also stars alongside Cruise. His character is rumoured to be Dr. Henry Jekyll. Sofia Boutella is playing the mummy. As Universal is rebooting its monster catalogue for this film, they will probably be raising the likes of Dracula, Frankenstein and The Invisible Man from the dead. Hence the actors like Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem and Angelina Jolie are all rumoured to feature in the film. The film is supposed to be the kick-off movie for what Universal hopes will be an interconnected "classic monsters" universe.

2. The Crew
The Mummy Reboot is written by Christopher Mcquarrie & Jon Spaiths and directed by Alex Kurtzman, best known as the writer of movies like Star Trek Into Darkness and Transformers. Chris Morgan, who has been instrumental in creating some of the most successful franchises of the past years like the Fast & Furious Saga, has produced this film along with Sean Daniel, who had produced the original Mummy Trilogy too.

3. The Plot
The story follows a Navy Seal officer, Tyler Colt and his mission in the Iraqi desert to find a group of terrorists hiding out in a bunker. But much to their surprise, the bunker they have infiltrated is actually a centuries old tomb where an ancient princess whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is safely entombed. Mayhem erupts when this Mummy is awakened and with her she brings hostility, terror and destruction. How Tyler saves the world from this scary and dangerous mummy forms the crux of the film. However how this reboot version of Mummy fits in a shared monster universe with Dracula, Frankenstein and The Invisible Man, is not clear yet!

4. The Release Date
The film is scheduled to release next year in June.
