Hindi Action Movies, especially, add up to the spice in action with the creative and infamous swear words. Its well known to all movie buffs out here, action is not the root genre of Indian cinema but over the years Indian cinema has shown its affinity and interest for it and adopting it as one of the most popular genres in Bollywood film Industry.
This genre in Indian Cinema was initially introduced by megastars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra in late 70’s and 80’s with Shahenshah, Sholay and Hukumat and, rose to prominence with our very own Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Baazigar’ and Akshay Kumar in ‘Khilaadi’. Here, song and dance numbers are ubiquitous — even in genres that typically shouldn’t have them — and films are influenced from classical Indian epics with its use of flashbacks and side narratives to explain the plot better. Well, that time has gone and now we are living in the era of Krrish, Singham and Dabangg. Adding up to this growing list of hindi action movies is one upcoming John Abraham starrer, Force 2 releasing on this November 18.
The Force 2 trailer was made out with ‘MS Dhoni- The Untold Story’ and it packs quite a punch. Force 2 is an upcoming Indian action thriller movie featuring Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles with John after its prequel ‘Force’ released in 2011. With the opening statement on its first poster- A dead soldier is a martyr.. A dead spy is a traitor’ Force 2 will be dedicated to all the heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the nation. Whilst Force was an average movie, Force 2 looks more like an International action thriller movie with Abhinay Deo’s experience in Anil Kapoor’s television show 24. The movie trailer shows the lead actors John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin in a fierce battle, and what we like about it is that Sonakshi Sinha is not a damsel in distress but a RAW agent. Unlike Vidyut Jamwal, the villain in the first part who was all about the brutal physical force, the character of Tahir Raj Bhasin is all about the force of the mind and games which he plays.
Another recent release ‘Shivaay’ Ajay Devgn starrer and directorial venture came out last month, which promised some cliffhanger scenes with the protagonist descending the Himalayas with Har Har Mahadev. The stunning cinematography has been able to capture the beauty of the mountains like no other movie has ever captured in the past. The actor can be seen turning into a destroyer when he is separated from his daughter in Bulgaria while busting up flesh trade rackets. Overall, Ajay is unstoppable in Shivaay but his second directorial venture fails to engage one on the emotional front.
It could be aptly said that No matter which actor is playing what role, we as an Indian audience has grown much fond of action movies lately and would welcome every flick as far as they are made sensibly, with proper storyline and creative dialogue deliveries.
