Are you fan of the comedian Kapil Sharma? Do you miss his banter with Bollywood celebrities and his relatable and foolhardy jokes? Then you’ll be happy to learn that his show is slated to come back on air in the New Year. After the debacle of the mid-air brawl with his former co-star Sunil Grover, the Executive Vice President and Business Head of The Kapil Sharma Show’s home channel has confirmed that the comedian will be back on air in 2018.
Kapil will shoot the promos for the new show in January 2018 as he has been busy with his latest movie Firangi which released in theatres recently. However, there is no confirmation regarding who will join him on his new show.
The channel had announced a short break for the show in August due to Kapil’s ill-health but audiences had speculated the reason to be the infamous fight between the now estranged friends and co-workers, Kapil Sharma & Sunil Grover.
Reportedly, the fight between the two talented comedians was on a flight from Australia to India, after doing a show. Kapil, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, had hurled a shoe at his once friend Sunil when he tried to stop him from abusing his friend and colleague Chandan Prabhakar. As a result of this, Ali Asgar, Chandan, Sugandha Mishra and Sunil Grover refused to return to the sets of their popular show.
Meanwhile, ill-health was cited as the reason to take the show off air and Kapil reportedly recovered at a health centre in Bengaluru and soon after, went on to promote his movie Firangi.
The new show is reportedly going to be called The Kapil Sharma Show 2 and the entire cast of the previous edition is also going to be a part of it. Reports have also indicated that Sunil Grover is ready to bury the hatchet with Kapil and join the cast. Kapil has apologised to Sunil over social media on many occasions and has also visited his home. Only time will tell what the New Year holds for the most celebrated comedy show on television.
