It is no coincidence that we all are very particular and passionate about food in general. Now, you might not call yourself a food aficionado or a foodie for that matter, but everyone of us very much cares about the food that is served on our plate. And this passion partly stems from the fact that the food that we savour is very personal. But you might be wondering why all this talk about food? Well, the event that we are here to talk about is all about food, and all about celebrating the reverence that we hold in our hearts for great tasting food. It is not uncommon for many of us to constantly scavenge for restaurants for the best tasting food or food that does justice to our palettes. Now in all of that scavenging, we do come across restaurants that do provide us with food that can be best described as the perfect blend of flavors and presentation. And such places do deserve the recognition that they deserve.
This brings us to the event that we will be covering in this article. The whole point being there is one such event that does exactly what is needed by the connoisseurs of food. An event that awards restaurants based on how good they are.
The event in question is World On A Plate. The WOAP event had its first run last year in the city of Bangalore and was valued at about USD 2.5 million. The second year of the festival is here and this delicious festival will be featuring some of the many greats to be found in the world of culinary arts. Some of them will be masters like Adriano Zumbo, Elena Duggan, Janice Wong, Ranveer Brar and Gary Mehigan. They will be given the task of judging some of India's best restaurants. These restaurants will be competing for the much coveted trophy of the 'World on a Plate Restaurant of the Year 2017'. The World on a Plate event goes to Bengaluru on the 3rd of June and to Mumbai on the 4th June. This will be accompanied by multiple events such as the likes of Master classes, tete a tete and Master chef live.
