If ever a biopic is made on Yuvraj Singh, his innings of 150 runs at Cuttack yesterday would make for a perfect climax. The ever-flamboyant batsman of Indian Cricket team, Yuvraj Singh was in his best form yesterday! Playing only his second ODI since 2013, Yuvi hit his career-best score of 150, his first hundred in International cricket since the 2011 World Cup and the first since his recovery from cancer in 2012. And with this knock, he silenced his critics, once and for all. The man still has got a lot of cricket in him!

The Jai-Veeru jodi of Indian cricket, Yuvraj and Dhoni turned back the clock as they put on a 256 run partnership against England in the 2nd ODI at Cuttack. All the memories of that superb innings of 2011 World Cup Final match came alive once again, when these two talented batsmen help India cruise to victory together. After losing three quick wickets, India were in a tight spot at 25-3, but the two veterans led the revival for the Men in Blue. They smashed each and every bowler all around the ground. The 256 run stand between the duo turned out to be highest fourth wicket stand against England, and the second highest 4th wicket stand in the history of ODI cricket. Their extra-ordinary partnership on the crease led India to register 381 runs on the board in 50 overs. All credit to this partnership, India ended up winning the match by 15 runs after a tough fight by the English batsmen. And with this win India has also clinched the ODI series.

With this innings, we hope Yuvraj might have made a place for himself in the upcoming Champions Trophy. We all know he is a fighter and never gives up. The man has defeated the dreaded cancer a few years back. When everyone had written him off and advised him for retirement from Cricket, he weaved magic from his bat like never before. He is the same man who had won India the Natwest final, had hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over, and had seen his country through against Australia in the World Cup to win the trophy the second time in the history. However, post-cancer, Yuvraj struggled with confidence every time he came in the middle. But determination can do wonders, and this is what exactly Yuvi showed us yesterday.

Waiting eagerly for India vs England T20 series now, starting from 26th January in Kanpur!
