Happy Birthday, Jack Black!

Before his debut in movies he had worked off and on in TV series like X-Files, iCarly and Workaholics. Along with being a comic, he is also a musician and is the lead vocalist of the band Tenacious D.
Dubbed by the media as a part of frat pack (comedic actors who often work together), he considered the late Philip Seymour Hoffman his arch nemesis as they both ended up auditioning for the same movies. His introduction to the world of tube was when he starred in the advertisement for the game Pitfall. Even at a young age he was able to transform his face to match his words. He is the son of two satellite engineers who worked on the Hubble space telescope but, he chose to drop out of University and become a star himself. There have been many of his movies that have been appreciated by the audience but there are some popular ones he has been lauded for being a brilliant part of the voice cast
Kung Fu Panda

Making a worthwhile impression on the audience in High Fidelity as Barry, Jack Black had established himself as an actor with an impeccable comic timing. He excels in comic roles and has played more than a dozen over the years since his movie debut.

Kung-Fu Panda

We love the bumbling cute panda who is the chosen one and his antics as he tries to learn Kung Fu. This is Jack Black’s favorite movie and we absolutely adore him as Po. The rest of this all-star voice cast include Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman and Seth Rogen.
Shark Tale

This animated comedy introduced us to Lenny voiced by Jack who is a vegetarian shark (yes, you heard it right). Lenny played the son of Don Lino, a white shark that was voiced by Robert De Niro, of course.
Ice Age

Ice Age

In this multi-animal movie set in a time long ago, Jack Black was one of the Smilodons and his voice matched the fierceness of the animal.

What if the characters you write come to life? In this horror comedy, Jack played R.L. Stine, the author of a series of the same name. He also voiced two of the monster characters – The Invisible Boy and Slappy the Dummy.
Jack Black over the years has proved to be one of the best entertainers there could be. We wish him a happy birthday and look forward to more of his work.
