There’s one Bollywood diva who never shies away from stating her opinions. Yes, we are talking about none other than our beloved Sonam Kapoor. She’s got style, she’s got the attitude, she’s got the movie… Err, let’s not talk about that.
Recently, the internet went bonkers over Deepika Padukone’s My Choice video, and it didn’t take much time for Sonam to share her opinion on the video. So, in a recent media interaction, when the actress was asked for her views on Deepika’s ‘feminist video’, Sonam stated, "I don’t have to make a video to voice my opinions”. She also added, "My actions have always spoken louder than my words. I’m proud to be a woman and I respect my independence. I’m never afraid to give my opinion on any matter. That’s what feminism is about.”
But this isn’t the first time the fashionista expressed herself out loud. Here are 10 times Sonam Kapoor stunned us with her outrageous opinions!
"When people make so-called art films, why do you have to take the not-nice-looking people? Doesn’t make any sense!"
The day she called Shobhaa De a porn writer. "For a 60-something porn writer, I am sure she (Shobhaa) knows what she’s talking about."
Sonam’s views on Ranbir Kapoor (We hope he’s listening!):
"I dare him to make a serious commitment and get married."
“Are girls drooling over him? Really? Ranbir isn’t sexy at all. Ranbir is a mama’s boy, his mother cuts his toenails for him.”
Indian men don’t understand fashion unless they are gay.
"Thing with the industry is that if you are not good looking, they think you are a good actor."
"The masses like me as a regular girl, but the classes like me as a fashion icon. I’m catering to both sides.”
"Loud acting is not acting! Just because you look like ordinary and act loud, doesn’t mean you are good actor."
On Parineeti Chopra, "She should stop wearing tight clothes".
On Deepika Padukone, "She doesn’t have her own style".
"Talking about your personal life takes away from your work. It’s just tacky." Agreed.
Whether you love her or loathe her, Sonam knows how to play her cards. And for this, we love her.
