100 Days Of Love: Film Review – A Cute Rom-Com

Verdict: A feel good love story.
100 Days of Love is a Malayalam movie that released last year and is dubbed in Telugu with the same title. Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen, there are some expectations as it is being released after their successful venture Ok Bangaram. Directed by Jenuse Mohamed, will this film be able to re-create the magic again? Let’s see.

Rao Gopal Rao (Dulquer Salmaan) is a reporter at Times based out of Bangalore. He walks out of his family home, where he is being branded a loser, and stays with his friend Gajapathi (Sekhar Menon), who is a computer freak and loves playing games and eating food. One day Gopal meets Savitri (Nithya Menen) in a taxi and falls in love with her at first sight. He finds Savitri’s bag on the floor and tries to find her with the clues left in the bag. Did Gopal meet Savitri? Do they know each other before? Is Savitri already engaged when they meet again? To know all these, watch 100 Days Of Love at a theater near you.

100 Days Of Love Telugu Film Review - BookMyShow
Dulquer Salmaan as Rao Gopal Rao is charming and more or less looks similar to the role he enacted in Ok Bangaram. Though a few movies old, he is a natural actor and his comic timing is excellent. Nithya Menen as Savitri is as usual at her best. She is ravishing and beautiful. The way she enacts in love stories is simply enthralling. She brings life to the character she portrays. Sekhar Menon has done a good job as Gopal’s friend. He has given his best throughout the movie. He was able to give us some laughs. It was very refreshing to see Vineeth after a long time. He plays Savitri’s father and has done a decent job. Rahul Madhav (Rahul) as Savithri’s fiancé did justice to his role. Rest of the cast was adequate.

Direction by debutante Jenuse Mohamed is superb. He has handled a simple story in the most classic way and was able to create the right chemistry between the lead pair. The last thirty minutes of the film are more engaging. He was able to generate romance and comedy as and when required. Music by Govind Menon is filled with melody and all the songs are chartbusters. Background score by Bijibal is intriguing and sets the right chord throughout the movie. Cinematography by Prateesh Varma is excellent and the way he has captured the night scenes is praiseworthy. Editing by Sandeep Kumar is crisp.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

You can watch this movie for its freshness and novel way of storytelling. All the scenes looked cute and the chemistry between the lead pair sizzles. Feel the freshness this weekend.
