Though it’s only just begun, 2015 is already a great year for music. From Giorgio Moroder’s 74 Is the New 24 to Will Butler’s Policy, we have a lot of great albums in store for us. But that’s not all. The live music scene in 2015 looks just as promising! With more and more festivals revealing their final line-ups, let’s take a look at the 10 we’re most excited for:
Shaky Knees Music Festival (Atlanta, Georgia)
Only in its third year, Shaky Knees has quickly become a Mecca for indie rock enthusiasts. This year’s line-up features the who’s-who of the genre. Don’t believe us? Just check out the headlining acts – The Strokes, The Avett Brothers, Pixies and Wilco! We also love how the line-up includes both iconic as well as contemporary acts. After all, it isn’t everyday that we get to see Interpol and Zella Day on the same line-up!

Lollapalooza Chile (Santiago, Chile)
Last year’s Lollapalooza line-up might have been a disappointment, but this year makes up for it… And how! 2015’s line-up features major international acts across various genres. Yes, whether you like EDM or alternative rock, there’s something for everyone. Along with the international acts, the festival will also showcase some of the finest Chilean musicians. This includes, but isn’t limited to, Fernando Milagros and Jorge González Ríos. Could we ask for more?

Governors Ball Music Festival (New York, New York)
Though the Governors Ball offers a lot more than just music, the line-up has always been the festival’s main attraction. This year, the event will showcase some of the biggest names in electronic music – SBTRKT, deadmau5 and Hot Chip, to name a few. They will also be joined by indie acts like DIIV, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Tame Impala. And that’s not all, the legendary Bjork will be there too! We think we’ve made our point.

Mahindra Blues Festival (Mumbai, Maharashtra)
Though this is only its fifth year, the Mahindra Blues Festival is one of Asia’s biggest blues festivals for a reason. This year’s line-up show us exactly why. The festival is being headlined by none other than the iconic Buddy Guy, who has inspired greats like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton! Also featured are Nikki Hill and Quinn Sullivan, who’ve taken the blues world by storm. Add to that talented local acts like Warren Mendonsa, and you have a festival that can’t be missed!

Open’er Festival (Gdynia, Poland)
We love Radiohead. Naturally, we adore the Greenwood brothers and can’t wait for Jonny to do his thing with the London Contemporary Orchestra. What better place to witness this than Poland? To make things better, the festival will feature acts like Alt-J, St. Vincent and Eagles of Death Metal. And it gets better. The festival is held on a beach site, and will also include gastronomic zones, films, theatre and sports activities. Count us in!

Rock Werchter (Werchter, Belgium)
Rock Werchter is known for including just the right number of mainstream acts, indie artists and local talent. This year is no exception, with the line-up featuring the creme de la creme in each category! Acts like Muse, Pharrell Williams, Damien Rice and Lenny Kravitz are all set to do what they do best. It’s safe to say that Rock Werchter 2015 is going to be a ride from start to finish!

Big Guava Festival (Tampa, Florida)
You can’t really go wrong with headlining acts like The Strokes, Pixies and Hozier. The folks at Big Guava Festival know that. But how do you make this even better? You sprinkle in some relatively famous indie acts, some trance and a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll for good measure! To make the music even more enjoyable, the festival will also offer the finest in craft beer, food trucks and rides. Woo-hoo!

SulaFest (Nashik, Maharashtra)
If you can’t make it to Belgium or Chile this summer, don’t fret. We have an equally exciting line-up closer to home! The SulaFest brings together fashion, food, wine, shopping and music. Everything we love, right in Nashik! This year’s line-up is on par with some of the world’s biggest festivals. Featuring both Indian and international acts, the SulaFest 2015 promises to be a music aficionado’s paradise.

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival (Manchester, Tennessee)
It’s easy to see that Bonnaroo’s 2015 line-up is bigger and better than ever before. But it’s also safe to say that this year’s acts have made it one of the most anticipated festivals of the year. It will feature some of this year’s staples; including SBTRKT, Run the Jewels and Hozier. But Bonnaroo has a lot more to offer. Acts like Mumford & Sons, Unlocking the Truth and Bahamas will also be present, making it one of their first confirmed appearance of the season. We can’t wait!

Boston Calling (Boston, Massachusetts)
This biannual festival has quickly become known as the place to be for true music fans. Yes, it doesn’t feature ferris wheels, meditation circles or breweries. But that’s exactly what makes it ideal for people who just want to enjoy good music. The 2015 line-up for Boston Calling features Beck, My Morning Jacket and Pixies as the headlining acts. It also features some bad@#$ female musicians like St. Vincent, Tove Lo and Marina Diamandis. Add The Lone Bellow, Tame Impala and Tenacious D to the mix, and voila! It’s the perfect line-up for the summer.
