Bollywood fans are always eager to know about the films their favorite directors and stars are working on. Filmmakers and actors make the most of this and generally find new ways to announce their latest films. They tease their fans by divulging a few details about the movie, before making an official announcement. While some of them tweet about it, a few release a video with the announcement (Aditya Chopra did this for Befikre). Recently, some big names in Bollywood have spoken about their new projects and here are the ones that got us most excited (sadly, none of them will release this year!).
The remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil hit will be helmed by none other than his protegee, Shaad Ali. OK Jaanu stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, and the duo has already started shooting for the film.
Sanjay Gupta’s last film, Jazbaa, marked the comeback of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but the movie failed to get the cash registers ringing. The director has now managed to sign Hrithik Roshan for his next film, which is tentatively titled Kaabil. Yami Gautam will star opposite the Bang Bang actor.
Homi Adajania’s next
By getting Sushant Singh Rajput and Irrfan Khan together for his next film, Homi Adajania has put together an interesting cast. The Finding Fanny director is yet to finalise the heroine. Parineeti Chopra and Kangana Ranaut are frontrunners for the role.
Student of the Year 2
In a recent chat on Twitter, Karan Johar revealed that a sequel to his 2012 film, Student of the Year, will roll soon. Reports suggest that Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother, Ishaan, will make his debut with the film. It’s still unclear if KJo will direct the movie or not.
Tanu Weds Manu 3
Recently, Deepak Dobriyal confirmed that Tanu Weds Manu 3 will happen soon. The second part of this franchise, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, was one of the biggest hits of last year. Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan will definitely reprise their roles in the third instalment.
