The England Cricket Team has descended upon India for their own version of the 'Final Frontier'. Labeled as the 'Revenge Series' for Team India, this England-India clash could be a far cry from the one-sided whitewash last summer back in England.
Over the last two years, an India-England series has never been a closely-fought affair, with both teams invariably making the most of home conditions, and failing miserably on away pitches.
4 test matches- played at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Nagpur. Two England-India T20 matches played at Pune and Mumbai, followed by a 5-match England-India ODI series played at smaller venues like Rajkot, Kochi, Ranchi, Chandigarh and Dharamsala.
This is preceded by Three 3-day practice matches for England, against India A, Mumbai A and a yet-to-be-decided team. Officially, England will begin their tour on Oct. 30th, 2012- and will play through the new year into late January in India. Team India has over 3 months to inflict upon England the pain and humiliation that followed their sharp fall from the no. 1 Test ranking last year.
It will be all business for the English cricket team, though, despite their second practice match (Oct 3rd to 5th) coinciding with the famous NH7 weekender taking place in Pune at the same time. Resisting letting their hair down will be a priority for a team that is in the same state as Team India was a year ago, sans the top ranking and with plenty to resurrect.
While both teams grind it out in the heat in order to acclimatize themselves for the real test series, you can sit out, go ahead and book your tickets for this much-hyped and keenly awaited smashing music weekend on our website.
