 Let’s face it, most Hollywood movies are made with a huge budget of 100 million dollars. The more the investment, the bigger the execution. Big budget films might seem like a sure shot hit, but doesn’t always prove right. Hollywood also makes movies that are high on content, but with a considerably low budget. These films have been made on a modest budget, and end up being extremely successful. Don’t believe us? Take a look at the list yourself:

Rocky
 

 
An unknown film artist wrote a story about an underdog who got a chance to fight against a world boxing champion and subsequently lose. The story was penned by none other than Sylvester Stallone, who eventually went on to star in the film. The film was made within a budget of 1 million dollars, and took everyone by surprise when it when on to collect over 225 million dollars worldwide. This also paved way for five sequels. Rocky also won three academy awards. 
 
The Blair Witch Project
 

Are you one of the people who believed that the footage of The Blair Witch Project was real? You’re not alone! This film made cine goers take notice of its eerie theme. This is the first film to take advantage of the internet, and make use of the marketing methods online. It was made on a budget of less than 60,000 dollars and raked up a 248 million dollars worldwide.
 
Paranormal activity
 

Paranormal Activity is undoubtedly the most profitable film among all others. Made with a budget of just 15,000 dollars, the makers of this film marketed  the movie via online media and word-of-mouth. Shot with handheld camera, this film generated over 193 million dollars worldwide and also paved way for four sequels. The latest addition being Paranormal activity: The Ghost dimension. 
 
Saw
 

Filled with blood, gore and violence; this psychological horror film was made on a budget of 1.2 million dollars. The film pulled 103 million dollars and turned out to be a cult classic. Six sequels have been released, but none came close to the first movie.

    Well my favourite movie was saw and all it’s series. I am a rocky fan since childhood. So even a small budget film can become a blockbuster if it has a strong plot which is so gripping that the impact it has on the viewers just cannot be described in words.
