5 Bollywood Actresses Who Had To Give Up Their Voice

Movies are like dreams and everything has to be beautiful in a dream. Not only the actors have to look good but they have to sound good as well. This is where dubbing comes into career options. Mostly, celebrities dub their own voice to emote better and improve the quality of the scene after it is shot. Sometimes, while listening to a song, we know the name of the singer but we still refuse to accept that the actor is not singing the song. What if you were told that many of the actresses have their voice dubbed throughout the film? That too because their voice didn't suit the character or just because they lost their voice for the time-being or had no time to dub their own voice.
Believe or not here is a list of actors whose voice weren't there in some of the films:

Bipasha Basu, Jism
Bipasha Basu - BookMyShow
Bipasha Basu's voice in Jism was dubbed because the filmmaker wanted the voice to be husky and sensuous. Bipasha Basu's voice was dubbed in many other movies like Ajnabee, Raaz and Hera Pheri 2. Bipasha once said in an interview that "Raaz was dubbed because the Bhatts love dubbing all their leading ladies with Mona Ghosh's voice so that all the ladies in Bhatts' films sound the same."

Rani Mukherjee, Ghulam
Ghulam - BookMyShow
Rani's voice in the film Ghulam was dubbed by Mona Ghosh Shetty and this film made her really popular in the dubbing business. However, Rani didn't like the dubbed version and said that she cannot connect with the voice and would never say the dialogue like this.

Nargis Fakhri, Rockstar
Rockstar - BookMyShow
The stunning Nargis entered the industry with Rockstar. She learned the Hindi language for the film and still had an accent and therefore her voice was dubbed. Apparently, one couldn't make out if it was dubbed by her or a dubbing artist because it seemed so real.

Deepika Padukone, Om Shanti Om
Deepika Padukone - BookMyShow
Deepika Padukone debuted in the industry through the film Om Shanti Om and won the Filmfare award for best Female Debut. However, her voice in the film was dubbed because she had an accent that didn't fit the character.

Kajol, Dushman
Kajol - BookMyShow
Dushman is still one of the best thrillers of Bollywood. Kajol played a double role and won the Star Screen award for the Best Actress category. In the movie, her voice was dubbed because the film has so much screaming and she lost her voice a few days. She did a part of the dubbing and the rest was done by a dubbing artist.
