This year, the release of Sholay 3D gave the cult classic fans a chance to witness the legendary characters battle it out on the silver screen once again. It was irresistibly vivacious! India almost went crazy. Just imagine savoring the intensity of Jai (Dharmendra) in 3D when he says "Basanti, in kutto ke samne matt naachna".
Watching a movie with the added dimension is always a thrill. The intensity, the drama, the panoramic views… everything is absolutely mindblowing. Over the last few years, Bollywood has been producing remarkable number of movies in 3D – Krrish 3, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, Haunted 3D and many more. However, Bollywood 3D movies somehow failed to garner the attention and love as the films from overseas do. But no matter what, Bollywood has its own historical innings with 3D. Remember Chota Chetan, a decade and half back? That was one sweet memory, especially if you’ve been a ’90s kid.
Here’s a list of five Bollywood movies we’d definitely like to watch in 3D:
Goliyon ki Raasleela: Ram-leela: Vibrant. Rhapsodic. Just magnificent. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon ki Raasleela: Ram-leela is a movie we would love to see in 3D. The heartwarming romance of Ram and Leela, the actions and the beautifully done song-dance sequences, especially Lahu Munh Lag Gaya and Nagada Sang Dhol. With 3D, you can drool some more at Deepika’s curvaceous figure or Ranveer’s glistening abs. Can you imagine that? We sure can!
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: The most-electrifying performance by Farhan Akhtar. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is one of the best biopics ever made in Bollywood. Farhan Akhtar as the Flying Sikh just rocked! We would love to see the movie in 3D only because of Farhan Akhtar. The way he races with perfect precision and the arduous workout he put in for his training in the breathtaking locales of Ladakh. Wouldn’t it be just brilliant?
Dabanng: Watching the fearless corrupt police officer – Chulbul Pandey – doing extreme stunts in 3D is something which all Salman Khan fans dreams of. Dabanng is one movie of Salman, which we would love to watch in 3D. Reasons? Salman’s biceps and hardcore Bollywood action, and of course, the famous heart reflection on Salman’s aviators. Eye-popping feast!
Go Goa Gone: Come on, this is India’s first ever zom-com movie! No matter what, we all love watching zombie movies and secretly… we all want a zombie apocalypse. Being the first-ever desi zombie movie, Go Goa Gone is a complete laugh riot. Why in 3D? We would love to see the scenic Goa in 3D. Then there is blondie Saif Ali Khan and the kings of comedy Vir Das and Kunal Khemu to make you laugh out loud. Oh yes, there are also local and videshi zombies to freak your nerves out!
Ragini MMS 2: Ahem Ahem… why not? Sunny Leone in Ragini MMS 2 has already set the Box Office on fire with her Baby Doll moves. Now imagine Sunny Leone in 3D… ‘sunny’ indeed! Besides the erotica, Ragini MMS 2 has got some really spooky moments. If you are chicken-hearted, the spooks might make you jump out of your seats. Picture the spookiness and Sunny Leone in 3D – a complete feast for the eyes!
