5 Bollywood Star Kids Who Didn’t Make it in Bollywood

Bollywood stars don’t shy away from promoting or launching their children in Bollywood. But, not all star kids have the same charisma or run of luck their parents enjoyed. It’s the survival of the fittest in the industry. While some star kids do enjoy stardom, others simply fade away. And, they slowly vanish from public memory.  Not everybody can be a Hrithik Roshan or a Kajol. Blame it on the luck or lack of talent – these kids just fail to make a mark. Here’s a look at some star kids who failed to impress in Bollywood, in spite of having famous parents.

Esha Deol

When you’re the daughter of India’s ‘dream girl’, Hema Malini, the chances of you making it big in Bollywood are quite high. But, Esha Deol didn’t find a smooth road to tread. After appearances in a few movies, most of which had a less than satisfactory run, she these days is one of the hosts of an MTV reality show.

Uday Chopra
Uday Chopra belongs to the prestigious Chopra family. Uday had a huge launch in Bollywood, when he appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in the multi-starrer Mohabbatein. He even appeared in a few films as the lead actor. He’s popular for the Dhoom series.  Uday could barely impress though and unfortunately stayed at the bitter receiving end of critics and the masses.

Mimoh/Mahaakshay
Son of Mithun Chakraborty, Mimoh was destined to have an easy launch in Bollywood. Fate had other plans though. His debut film, Jimmy, bombed at the box-office. Post that, he underwent a makeover. He got fitter and got rid of his poker straight long hair before appearing in the film Haunted 3D. The efforts didn’t quite work for the film or his career.

Tanisha
Tanisha is the daughter of Tanuja and sister of Kajol – two stars who have had hugely successful runs in Bollywood. Tanisha however didn’t quite enjoy similar fortune.  Her films, Neal N Nikki and One Two Three failed at the box-office. The only hits to her credit are the South films – Unnale Unnale and Kranti, and Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar in which she played a supporting role. She gained attention for her appearance in the reality show, Bigg Boss.

Sikander
With two talented actors in his family – Anupam and Kirron Kher, Sikander still has not made the cut in Bollywood. He was first seen in Woodstock Villa (2000) and the multi-starrer Players (2011).
