Making it big in the B-town is not easy, but what is all the more difficult is to sustain the achieved stardom. We have heard many stories of rags to riches, stars who have made themselves who they are and on their own. Then there are those who couldn't take in all the success and went penniless. But there are also those very few who overcame bankruptcy and held their head high.

Not that you are going to believe but even King Khan had to empty his pockets to produce his dream project Ra One. Fortunately, the movie fared well for the superstar to fill the empty accounts but otherwise it could have been a huge disaster. There are many celebrities who suffered bankruptcy and managed to get back on their feet on their own or with some help. Let's have a look at few of the most famous celebrities from that lot:

Amitabh Bachchan

After her first venture Ishq in Paris, which was a box office disaster, Preity was deep in financial dues. Even the write-director of the film filed a case against her for non-payment of dues. Salman Khan, being a good friend, offered her help after hearing that she has put her apartment up for rent.

In 2008, Jaggu Dada borrowed money from the filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and couldn't pay the dues on time. He was to get into trouble because Sajid wanted to recover his money the legal way. It was then Salman Khan, being close friends to both parties, had to intervene to resolve the matter. Sources say that Mr. Shroff had to sell his properties to repay the loan.

Even during the film Partner (2007), Salman Khan helped him financially while he was in debt.
