His performance in the film was so well received, it had to be his breakthrough role. He has now become one of the highest-paid actors in the world, and has been nominated for various accolades, including four Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Inspired by the FBI ABSCAM operation of the late 1970s and early 1980, Cooper plays an FBI agent who sets up an elaborate sting operation on corrupt politicians.
American Sniper (2014)
This biographical film follows the life of Kyle (played by Bradley), who became the deadliest marksman in U.S. military history with 255 kills from four tours in the Iraq War. Understandably, his tours of duty took a heavy toll on his personal and family life.
Amongst his latest films, Cooper's character is on alcohol and drugs again, but this time leading him to a meltdown, affecting his career as the top chef in Paris.
