5 Filmy Dads – from reel to real life

From ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ era to ‘Daddy Mujhse Bola’ decade, Bollywood dads have indeed come a long way. We love the transformation our filmy dads have gone through from the early 90s. Bollywood has given us some really great father characters. But there have also been characters that were stern and handled things with an iron hand. Wonder what great fun it would be if these reel fathers turned into real fathers! Check out what’ll happen if these dads were in 2015. It’s Father’s Day this sunday and we are paying tribute to these filmy fathers. Don’t forget to wish your’s. Happy Father’s Day! 🙂

1. 90s wale Babuji
Our list obviously starts with the ultimate father of all times, Babuji. Alok Nath created a separate genre for memes with his role as Babuji. If he was a real life 2015 father, he’d probably have a stroke with all the anti-sanskari behaviour of today’s youth!

2. Late 90s Pops
Anupam Kher from DDLJ won hearts with his ‘O Potchi, O Koka, O Bobi, O Loa’ routine. If ‘pops’ was a 2015 dad he’d be the super cool dad everyone wants. Who wouldn’t want this amazing dad, right?!

3. Daddy dearest
Shahrukh Khan played the caring father in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He was the daddy dearest. Protective and loving. And it was super easy to turn his ‘no’ into ‘yes’. Exactly what every kid wants!

4. 2000s ke Pitaji
Amitabh Bachchan in Mohabbatein played Narayan Shankar. The really strict father who forbid, well, everything. In 2015, he would definitely not be able to keep Raj (Shahrukh Khan) and Megha (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) apart.

5.  Daddy cool
Bachchan again, in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. The ‘sexy Sam’ who was dashing and lively. He flirted and gave advice to follow your heart! He would fit in perfectly in today’s world.
