Binge watching a movie series is an experience by itself. Hours and hours of watching your favorite characters on screen. Who doesn’t like watching the whole story in one sitting? Unfortunately, the movies are not made in one go. This can lead to some continuity flaws that are noticeable when you watch these movies independently but when you start to binge-watch them, they can make the experience very jarring. When the casting is changed or when the cast ages enough for us to notice, the movie viewing experience unpleasant and confusing. Here are some continuity flaws we noticed in movie series.
Although Rocky IV is considered to be the best of the series and Rocky V the not-so-great one. It is a tad confusing when Rocky’s son gets a growth spurt of about seven years when the events of the movie are set one week apart. This was done so that Sylvester Stallone’s son could play the role. But it did make for a little shocking change.
Batman Old Series
Although Batman Forever was supposed to be made with a different director, it was still going to be a part of the same universe. And due to that, some of the former supporting cast was retained except for Billy Dee Williams who played two-faced Harvey in the previous installments. He was replaced by Tommy Lee Jones who is an excellent actor but we would have preferred if Billy was retained.
Friday the 13th
If this movie is to be believed, it takes a day to buff up your physique. Jason’s appearance underwent a major change between the end of part two and the beginning of part 3. The plot of the movie was set one day apart and there was nothing done to explain the change nor did the crew undergo a major change to explain this oversight.
Over the three movies, Damien Thorne's age went through a lot of changes. When the first movie released, he was six years old and within two years, he was a teenager and jumped to his 30s in the third one. It might not affect individual watching so much but this definitely should not be on your list of binge-watching list.
You know who we are talking about here. We are talking about Terence Howard being replaced by Don Cheadle for the part of Rhodey. Although it was a supporting role in the first movie, the bromance between Terence and Robert Downey Jr. was something we looked forward to in the future movies. Although Don Cheadle has done an excellent job, we still remember that scene from the first movie when Terence looks at the Iron Suit and says someday he will be in that and that never happened.
