Everyone loves choices. Whether it is a choice to eat, a choice of bags, or a choice of cosmetics. This need for variety often leads us on multiple trips to the mall and we often end up with far more than we need. Sadly when it comes to cosmetics, they expire. Lipsticks for example can be used for two years. But what after that?
If you are stuck with your old stock, and don’t know what to do with the stash, we are here to help you out. It is World Lipstick Day today and we have something special in mind. Here are five ways you can use your old lipsticks!
There’s nothing like a creative piece of art! You can use your old lipsticks to add texture to your projects. Like you can make a DIY table top. Use the lipsticks on glass and then use another slightly thinner glass to secure your art. Voila! Your home-made artsy table top! You can use it for decorating window panes, making mosiacs, etc.
A great way to cover-up your tattoo. A red color is perfect to fill your tattoo. Cover the area with your lipstick, and conceal with a full-coverage concealer. Then use a compact to set the area. There, your skin is virgin again.
Use it as a pen
Use it like a pen. There’s something glamorous bout writing with a lipstick. Leave notes in red color and feel like a glamazon!
As a Marker – Boyfriend!
Yup! You can use your lipstick as a marker. First the boyfriend. We are thinking a big, fat kiss stain to ward off the competition.
Other Make-up hacks
Now do not do this if your lipstick has expired, but if you have a color which is not a favorite anymore, you can use it as an eye shadow base or you can use it as a highlighter and for contouring. Lip gloss is another way to use an old lipstick, all you need to do is add Vaseline or coconut oil.
