5 Hottest Erotic Thrillers Ever Made!

There are certain elements in a movie which never fail to excite the audience. Some of us like thrillers while the rest like some high-on-energy action sequences. How about a genre that increases the pulse of the audience by combining three elements, namely – thrill, action and scintillating seduction. In fact, there is a genre that combines all three and it’s called ‘Erotic Thriller’. With the mercy of the censor board, sexy and sensual screenplays are currently ruling the roost. We bring you our list of top 5 erotic thrillers.

1. Basic Instinct (1992)

Oomph Rating: 9/10

Arguably the mother of all erotic thrillers, Basic Instinct traces the story of Michael Douglas. He is investigating the life of an author, who is accused of brutally murdering her Rockstar lover. With raunchy scenes and powerful dialogues, this movie took the box office by storm!

The Oomph Factor:

The police investigation scene in which Sharon seductively crosses and uncrosses her legs while wearing only a LWD. This scene certainly got temperatures soaring!

2. Wild Things (1998)

Oomph Rating: 9/10

Starring Neve Campbell, Matt Dillon, Kevin Bacon and sex-symbol Denise Richards, Wild Things is all things wild and well… um… all things explicit! This film is about two students who frame their high school counselor for rape and comprises of lots of twists, turns and tons of double crosses.

Oomph Factor:

Apart from scenes that featured girl-on-girl action, there was one specific scene which made Matt Dillon an enviable person! He had the privilege of pouring champagne on two hot women! What happens next? Well, for that you need to watch the movie.

3. Unfaithfull (2002)

Oomph Rating: 8/10

A story about affairs and forbidden passions, Unfaithful tells the tale of Diane Lane, a wife who is happily married. However, her marriage goes awry after she indulges in an affair with a French man whom she bumps into in a street, quite literally! The story caught everybody’s attention due to the scorching chemistry between Diane Lane and Olivier Martinez.

Oomph Factor:

Watch out for the scene in which Connie (Diane) displays palpable sexual tension (like that of a teenager who is smitten!) when she gets invited to the apartment of the cultured and charming French bookseller. You can’t help but fall in love with the way Olivier recites poetry in his distinctive French accent. Ooh-La-La!

4. Murder (2004)

Oomph Rating: 9/10

India isn’t far behind in making erotic thrillers! Murder, produced by Mukesh Bhatt, revolved around a married woman who has an adulterous affair with her ex-flame. With Mallika Shwerawat’s bold avatar, steamy scenes and passionate soundtrack, this movie set the cash registers ringing.

Oomph Factor:

The song Bheege Hoth Tere has Mallika go backless and get cozy with her lover on the shores of a beach.

5.KhamoshiyanSilences have Secrets (2015)

Oomph Rating: 8/10

The Bhatts are back with yet another sexually-fatal film, and this one is titled Khamoshiyan. Said to be shot in the icy slopes of Kashmir, the story revolves around a writer who tries to uncover the secrets of a woman’s past. With music composed by the Aashiqui 2 duo, the film stars Gurmeet Choudhary, Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi in the lead. Most erotic thrillers rely on the formula of the brilliant-but-obsessed female who manipulates the ‘nice-man’ and tricks him. Going by the posters and the trailer of the film, it looks like Khamoshiyan might also revolve around these lines. But lets keep those assumptions on hold and wait for the movie to release.

Oomph Factor:

The sensual rain song Bheeg Loon.
