The word 'drama' is synonymous with Bollywood. While it may not be entirely true with the recent movies we are seeing and there shall always be exceptions, this theory has been arrived at only after all that we've seen in the past 20 years. Yes, most films have been really entertaining. When you think of movies like Andaz Apna Apna or Hera Pheri, the dramatic, often over-the-top content was really enjoyed because it was a deliberate attempt at humor but for many others, we can't say the same. No, we're not saying we didn't enjoy the movies but just that the actors' acting quotient in some movies exceeded the drama and that's what made it enjoyable; when things got unintentionally amusing. Here are five movies that are all about the overacting.
Main Prem Ki Deewaani Hoon
We are almost guilty of how we are not even half as excited to meet our own aunty, let alone somebody else's. Taking tips from Hrithik. An extra thanks to Kanan and Biswa for reminding all those who, intentionally or not, had forgotten the existence of this gem.
Tees Maar Khan
I think we know what the problem was. Katrina! Even the song Sheila could not save this movie from being laughed upon. Ok! Let's not be that harsh. There weren't many saving graces here.
If someone points a gun at you, make sure you have the time to do cha-cha-cha each time you dodge a bullet. Let's not even talk about the farting Neeraj Vora. All hail Ninja Chacha!
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…
We're not sure who among the two would win the award for overacting here – Kajol or Kareena?
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani
We've accepted Katrina cannot act. But we didn't know then, even Ranbir Kapoor couldn't. The only good thing about this movie was that it got done with in a little over two hours
We can bet you'd agree with us too. Which one of these movies did you laugh at the most?
