In 2013, India saw a new and massive dance music festival put together by Viacom 18 in a surprisingly short period of time. The first edition ofVH1 Supersonic, curated by the iconic Nikhil Chinapa, had performances by renowned international artists like Benny Benassi, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten among many others. Without doubt, it was an overwhelming success.
VH1 Supersonic promises to be even bigger and better in 2014! We give you five compelling reasons why you shouldn’t miss this musical extravaganza this December:
Where else would you be in December if not on the pristine shores of Candolim? The venue for VH1 Supersonic is reason enough to simply be there!
2.A Super Line-Up
If you’re all about the music and are looking to attend a no-nonsense festival, this is your abode. This year, dance music luminaries like Dillon Francis, Paul van Dyk, The Chainsmokers, Aly & Fila, Mat Zo and the universally adored Above & Beyond will be playing! Also watch out for a lot of homegrown talent like Arjun Vagale, Nawed Khan, Pearl, Ash Roy and many others.
3. Push The Button!
Tony, Jono & Paavo of Above & Beyond are renowned for connecting with their fans in a way no other band or artist has been able to do. One of the ways that they do, is by letting them ‘push the button’ at the end of their set. And who knows? You could be the one up on stage, overlooking thousands of faces smiling at you! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment worth experiencing.
4. Dillon Francis’ first performance in India
The moombahton producer from Los Angeles is known for his zany antics and wacky social media posts, but that’s not where it ends. Dillon Francis’ amusing nature can even be seen in his work, whether it’s his album titled ‘Money Sucks, Friends Rule’ or tracks like IDGAFOS. This is his first time in India. Dillon Francis + Goa + Moombahcore + Beer… It cannot get better than this!
5.An all-encompassing festival experience!
In addition to the music, VH1 Supersonic has something unique for all you bookworms, art lovers, shopaholics and foodies.
