Needless to say, Salman Khan is a name that is known to everyone in the country. He is one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood with a massive fan following. Not only movies, he is also a very big name in the television industry, especially because of the reality show Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss is a name synonymous with controversies. In the 10 years long span of telecasting, the serial has become on of the most popular reality TV show. Salman started to host Big Boss from the fourth season and took the back seat in the fifth one, again, from the sixth season onwards he has been setting the Big Boss house on fire (and the TRPs of the show as well) with his funny statements and comments on the contestants.

About quitting Season 8

Be it about speaking his mind or his time, hosting a show is a lot of ‘taam jhaam‘ according to him. He said that one has to put in a lot of time and energy to host the show and then sometimes the production team wants you to say something you don’t want to. He also stated in an interview that he is busy with the shoot of his movie hence he is "unsure" about it.

Angry Sunny Deol

Bigg Boss - BookMyShowThe set of Big Boss is known for its hospitality and Salman Khan is a very generous host. Every guest who visits the set leaves with a smile on his face. But the 90s star Sunny Deol wasn’t so lucky. According to the reports, Sunny Deol stormed out of the sets after waiting for more than six hours. He was called for the shoot at 4:30 pm but the camera didn’t roll till 11 pm. Peeved by the unprofessional attitude of the show makers, he left the show without shooting for the episode. Even though both the superstars met and spent time together, he refused to stay back for the shoot.

Wild entry of Kushal Tandon

Bigg Boss - BookMyShowThe season 7 contestant Kushal Tandon was one of the contestants that tested Salman’s patience. Kushal made a dramatic exit from the show midway and came back to the house in a wild card. Salman was irked by his behaviour since the time he hurled some abuses at Tanishaa, his fellow housemate and Kajol’s sister. But what seemed to irritate him even more, was that Kushal apparently told everyone that Salman apologised to him. Salman made it a point to clear things out in front of the camera and show his displeasure.

Sapna Bhavani’s statements

Sapna was known for picking fights and if that wasn’t enough she actually went on to be host of the show. She made many statements during the show about her motive of spreading the message of women’s liberation across the nation but it literally created an uproar when she accused Salman of being a "serial women beater".

Ranveer Singh to host Big Boss 9

Bigg Boss - BookMyShowAfter the news of Salman quitting season 8, there were rumors of him quitting season 9 and not only this the sources also revealed that producers approached Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh for hosting the show. A source said that the producers approached Kumar as he showed exceptional hosting skills in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and Ranveer because they think roping in Singh would ensure a very entertaining host.
