5 Things That Munna Bhai Taught Us

The Khalnayak of the Indian film industry turns 57 today. It has been a long time since he celebrated this special day with his family. Sanjay Dutt is known for his versatility and has been a part of more than 100 movies. He is an actor whose real life itself has been like a film story, complete with all the ups and downs but come what may, Baba has always made a successful comeback. Undoubtedly, he is one of the most loved celebrities of the country, in spite of all the controversies.

He made his debut in the industry with the film Rocky and has been rocking the silver screen ever since. He has played numerous characters across genres, from a villain to a hero, a super hero to a disabled guy, a gangster to a cop, a cringe-worthy devil to a comedian. The list goes on. One of the most popular characters he has played, if not most popular, has to be Munna Bhai in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and Lagey Raho Munna Bhai, a gangster with a pure heart. He received seven awards in the Best Actor and Comedian categories for the character. Munna sure did have us in splits but he also taught us many things. On the occasion of our favorite Sanju Baba‘s birthday, let’s recall the good things ‘Munna’ taught us in both films.

Jaadu Ki Jhappi

A magical hug is what Munna’s mom calls it. It is said to solve all problems in life. If not, it sure makes you smile. Research shows that hugging is extremely effective at healing sickness, disease, loneliness, depression, anxiety and stress. Mum is always right. Hence, proved. Hug someone who looks distressed. **Free Hugs Anybody?**

Lagey Raho MunnaBhai - BookMyShow

Mahatma Gandhi taught the country to follow the path of non-violence but the one guy who reminded the world and made it cool was Munna Bhai, but with a twist. He taught us to follow ‘Gandhigiri‘ with conviction but when even Gandhi can’t help, do what you think is right.

Chemical Locha
Lagey Raho Munna Bhai - BookMyShow

This term is generally misunderstood as mental sickness but the actual meaning of chemical locha is a lot different. As Munna would explain, the brain has two parts – one that tries to give in to feelings like greed, anger and selfishness and the other that wants to do good. And when the good part of your mind takes control and you are no longer you but a great human being. This very transformation is called chemical locha. (Note: It has nothing to do with chemicals, acids and bases.)

Double Jine Ka

The world is full of misery and the future is uncertain. Munna Bhai taught us to live our life as if it is the last day and to live double when you know that the end in near. **Marne se pehle jeena, seekh le**

Respect for parents
Lagey Raho Munna Bhai - BookMyShow

No matter how old you grow, you’ll always be the little kid for your parents. They’ll always treat you like their little toddler who doesn’t know anything about the big bad world. And although they have their own ideals and ways of life, they love you more than anything. Munna taught us to respect them and make them walk with their head high in the society. And if someone insults them then watt laga de saale ki.

Mr. Dutt, we wish you a very happy birthday and a prosperous year ahead. We are also looking forward to more awesome movies like Munnabhai.
