5 times Virat Kohli stole our hearts

The world knows him as a brash Indian cricketer with no respect for bowlers on the cricket field. Yet, he’s one of the most charming men off it and the ladies will agree! Virat Kohli is currently the most adorable cricketer in the Indian team. And it’s not just his batting. There’s much more…

The World Cup Moment: “Tendulkar has carried the burden of the nation for 21 years. It is time we carried him on our shoulders.” Kohli’s words right after the victorious 2011 World Cup summed up the entire tournament for India. To top it off, this picture is now our most favorite memory of the historic World Cup. As for Virat, he just won a million hearts in those couple of moments.

The flip: While he may not get brownie points for flipping at an abusive crowd, his Adelaide hundred made up for it. Virat was even fined for his action, but the Indian crowd got right behind the cricketer. Kudos to Virat for giving the Australians a taste of their own medicine. Admit it, we loved his guts!

The Gangnam Dance: We’ve seen a lot of versions of the iconic Gangnam dance, but this one certainly takes the cake. Virat unleashed the dancer in himself after Team India clinched the 2013 Champions Trophy in England. Kohli’s version was one of the best victory celebrations of all time, agree?

The flying kiss: Looking skyward after hitting a century is a thing of the past. Welcome to Generation Next, where kisses are blown at your better halves in the stands. Virat’s flying kiss to Anushka Sharma during a recent India-Sri Lanka ODI was one of the cutest moments ever!

“I can’t hear you!”: When your favorite player eggs you on from the boundary, you do not disappoint him. In the recent ODI against Australia, Virat was seen egging the crowd on by waving his hands. The crowd in return, cheered with chants of “India India”! It is not an uncommon thing with players, but when it’s Kohli, things are not the same.
