5 Most Underrated Movies of 2016

We all have our own pick when it comes to Bollywood movies and actors. Every filmmaker puts in a lot of effort to a movie of his and not all of them hit the bullseye. There are some movies that are really good and even have a deep meaning to it but are not really understood in the way they are meant to be. Usually such movies grab the attention of a limited audience, but they deserve much more. This could happen for a variety of reasons whether it is lack of high-decibel marketing strategies or being overshadowed by bigger films or a not very popular star cast. These films might not necessarily have a 'Khan' or a superstar to back them but they surely come with powerful stories and deserve more recognition than they otherwise receive.
Here are a few movies of 2016, which deserved to be much more than just being underrated.

Aligarh
Based on the real life story of a professor at Aligarh University who lost his job for being a homosexual. Manoj Bajpayee's performance added more credibility to this fact-based re-telling of the story of sexuality and social stigma.
