Ladies, let’s accept it, as young girls we all loved playing dress-up. Slumber parties would end with us wearing our mother’s make-up, strutting around in those high heels, and spending hours in front of the mirror. But as we grew up we came to realize that a lady looks the prettiest when she is comfortable in what she wears. And the Pyjama fashion trend just proves our point further. Just like bad hair days, we have days when we hate rolling out of our bed and moreover, just refuse to make the effort to dress up. Here’s the secret of looking good on such days. To carry this trend with ease, we give you 5 easy ways of scoring major style points in the laziest way possible.
1. Keep it classy with some classic pattern
Stick to stripes, delicate florals or little polka dots. Pair this sleepwear with intricate heels and a sling bag to add a pop of style.
Cotton shorts with a loose shirt are uber-comfy and perfect for this weather. This outfit would make an apt day look. Throw in multiple bracelets and carry a large tote bag and you are ready to hit the road.
Try Selena Gomez’s look with a co-ordinated pyjama set in a simple colour pattern. Keep it chic in dark navy with white piping- you can’t go wrong with this one! The red satin heels and a matching pout make us give her a 10 on 10.
4. PJs + Cropped Tops
If you don’t want it to look extremely slouchy with a loose top, team your comfy PJs with a sleeveless crop top and cover it up with a cardigan. You could give your feet time off from those painful heels and instead wear an embellished pair of pointy-toed flats.
5. Try just the Top
In case you aren’t confident of going all out with the pyjama dressing trend, try donning a satin pyjama top with a pair of denims, trousers or even your favourite mini skirt. The key is to keep all your other accessories on the dressy side just so your pyjama top doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
